After playing with dozens of experimental, metal, punk, and noise bands in his native Michigan, Andrew W.K. moved to New York City in 1998 and quickly built a reputation for his sweaty and ultra-intense live performances. With the release of his 2001 debut album, I Get Wet, this bloody nose cypher suddenly became the new millennium’s most unexpected and perplexing star.
