Charlie Houston is a Toronto-based singer-songwriter. The 23-year old’s debut EP, I Hate Spring, features five downtempo pop tracks that touch on timeless youthful themes like first kisses, messy breakups, and being misunderstood. Her raw guitar work and lush but sparse production leave plenty of room for Charlie’s distinct, soulful vocals to cut through.
Despite her relative newness, Charlie Houston is making a lot of noise, getting coverage from NPR Music, Bandcamp, and Consequence. Her debut single “Calls” premiered with Zayne Lowe on Apple Music and upon the release of I Hate Spring, she was selected to be the cover of Spotify Canada’s RADAR program.”
