Rebirth, reinvention, and redefining one’s identity are just a few of the themes that laidthe groundwork for Los Anglees-bsed rock band DAME. With their dynamic, theatrical liveshow, the themes and imagery of the band range from medieval Knights, to 11920’s gender-bending Cabaret, to Revolutionary soldiers (or “SOULdiers” as they affectionately call theiraudience.) With a deep-seated love for bands like Queen, Led Zeppelin, and The Beatles,DAME aims to reignite the raw spirit of rock and roll with the humor and splendor of musicaltheater, the sophistication of classical music, and the humanity of folk and blues.

DAME officially formed in the Fall of 2024 through the collaboration of singer-songwriterVeronica Swift and drummer/producer Brian Viglione (The Dresden Dolls) who Swift cites as amajor influence on her since age 12. Vilgione discovered Veronica through her cover of TheDresden Dolls’ “Sing.” Soon after, they met in September of 2021, but their connectiondeepened once Viglione recognized her true desire to express herself through her original rockmusic which remained unheard due to her established Jazz career. After joining her solo bandand embarking on two successful world tours in ’23 and ’24 where Swift received the honor ofKnight in the Order of Arts and Letters from The French Republic, the demand grew for Swift’soriginal repertoire, as did Swift and Viglione’s relationship. So begins this new chapter withDAME.

The band’s 5-piece lineup consists of of Veronica Swift (lead vocals/keyboards), BrianViglione (drums/vocals/guitar), Kyle Reinhart (lead guitar), Alexis Angel (keyboards/rhythmguitar/vocals), and Jonny Heinz (bass).
