The Latin GRAMMY nominated DARUMAS unites Aldana Aguirre, a sought-after bassist from Argentina, who has shared the global stage with acts like Karol G, Luis Fonsi and Fonseca; Ceci Leon, a Miami-born vocalist/guitarist with Cuban roots, a penchant for R&B, who seamlessly blends soulful melodies with fiery guitar riffs; and Vedala Vilmond, the mesmerizing voice of the group, hailing from Haiti and living in Chile. The captivating live music collective has been spotted bringing their magic to cities around the globe; from their first showcases in Miami to Rolling Stone’s ‘Future of Music’ showcase in Mexico City, first festivals spanning Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco to Rock in Rio in Brazil, performances and appearances in Madrid including Los 40’s 100th anniversary and also in Buenos Aires for a run of dates supporting superstar Emilia’s sold-out Argentina stadium shows.The band’s infectious and funky debut single “Daruma,” which catapulted to #1 on on the #1 radio station in Japan (J-WAVE), delivers a message of hope, resilience, and love, in tandem with their band name, introducing the inspiration from the Japanese luck charm, symbolizing perseverance and wish fulfillment.
