From the South Texas valley, Grupo Frontera is a six-member música Mexicana group comprised of long-time friends Adelaido Solís, Julian Peña Jr., Alberto Acosta, Carlos Guerrero, Juan Javier Cantu, Brian Ortega. Known for their norteño and cumbia sounds, Grupo Frontera is constantly pushing themselves to new creative heights. They have worked with some of the most prolific artists including Peso Pluma, Shakira, Christian Nodal, Carin Leon, Fuerza Regida, Luis R. Conriquez, among others, and have also collaborated with global superstar Bad Bunny on their record-breaking number one song “un x100to.” The track also skyrocketed to the number one position on the Billboard Global 100 and Top Spotify tracks.
Last summer, they released their highly anticipated debut album “El Comienzo” which included tracks alongside Grupo Firme, Junior H, Carin Leon, Bad Bunny and Manuel Turizo. The album quickly rose in the charts, landing at number 34 on Billboard 200 and still remains as one of the most streamed albums in Mexico. “Ya Pedo Quién Sabe” alongside Christian Nodal from their most recent album “Jugando A Que No Pasa Nada” reached 5M views on Youtube in just one week and was debuted live on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Their second album, “Jugando A Que No Pasa Nada” is a 12-track ode to life, love and heartbreak and included a lineup of powerful collaborations with renowned artists such as Maluma, Morat and Nicki Nicole. Most recently, Grupo Frontera received their first nominations to The Latin GRAMMY Awards scoring two nominations, one for each album.
