From Melbourne, HighSchool are Rory Trobbiani and Luke Scott, a band whose debut EP, Forever at Last, is a lo-fi, post-punk gem. Featuring the singles ‘New York, Paris and London’, ‘Frosting’ and ‘Sirens’, the EP felt perfectly crystallized on release, serving as a brilliant introduction to an essential new band being championed by the likes of NME, The FADER, Clash, DIY, PAPER and So Young.

With word of mouth behind them, they relocated to London in early-2022 and soon jumped on tours with CHVRCHES and NewDad, as well as playing loads of great UK festivals including All Points East, End of the Road, The Great Escape, Manchester Pysch Festival, Sea Change, Standon Calling and Visions. They even found time to return home to tour with Sam Fender. Following up the EP were the standalone singles ‘Only A Dream’ (released on Dan Carey’s Speedy Wunderground label) and ‘Colt’ receiving similar acclaim, the band signed to [PIAS] to usher in the next phase of the band.

To record their follow-up EP, Accelerator (out April 19), they enlisted rising London producer Finn Billingham (Sam Akpro, Sunken) to help, finding him a kindred spirit in his creative approach. Completed over a few sessions and featuring the singles ‘August 19’ and ‘Doesn’t Matter’, the EP has been mixed by GRAMMY-winning engineer Philippe Weiss (Madonna, Nas, Drake, Earl Sweatshirt) and mastered by Blur, Elbow and Depeche Mode producer Ben Hillier.

Now back out on the road, they’re touring four continents in the first half of 2024 with shows in Australia, Japan, North America and Europe before heading back to the studio to record their debut album.
