pablopablo is one of the best kept secrets of the international alternative Latin scene, although releases such as his last single “Mi Culpa” and the two Latin Grammy awards sitting on his studio shelf have been making it hard to ignore his talent and potential.
After releasing his homonymous 2022 debut mixtape, the following year saw him tour the UK with Jockstrap, featured in COLORS, collaborations on the first two and only songs from C. Tangana since the release of his critically acclaimed El Madrileño album (the “Estrecho/Alvarado” single and Celta de Vigo’s celebrated football anthem) and a slot on the coveted Pitchfork Music Festival in Paris.
Lately, Pablo has been perfecting his songwriting craft which becomes evident on the recent string of singles: “Despierta”, “Otra Vida”, the previously mentioned “Mi Culpa” and his most successful song to date “Sidekick” featuring Spanish neo-folk star Guitarricadelafuente. All of which open a new creative phase for pablopablo in which he undoubtably has found his own voice while sounding more outright, sincere and relevant than ever.
