SIUDY GARRIDO is a visionary artist and award-winning choreographer who breaks boundaries by blending tradition with innovation, creating performances that resonate far beyond conventional flamenco presentations. Much like Riverdance did for Celtic music, Garrido’s work electrifies and captivates global audiences eager for fresh perspectives. Hailed globally by audiences and critics alike as “mesmerizing,” “first-class,” “perfection,” and “a queen,” her dynamic artistry transforms flamenco into a living, breathing language of movement and sound. Her body becomes both instrument and storyteller, crafting new sonic landscapes while honoring the roots of this timeless art form.

After sold-out performances at Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center, The Music Station in Madrid, and Teatro Mayor in Bogotá, Garrido’s audience continues to grow. Her artistic collaborations are notable, including work with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel, and she has also guest-starred on tours with bachata superstar Romeo Santos. She has built a devoted following among audiences from many walks of life.

Born in Venezuela, Garrido began performing at age five and later trained in Spain under flamenco masters such as El Güito, María Magdalena, and Milagros Menjíbar. Her early career included principal roles with notable companies including Antonio Canales’ Ballet Flamenco and Adrián Galia’s Flamenco Company. In 2000, she founded the Siudy Garrido Flamenco Company, debuting a series of original productions acclaimed for their innovation, musicality, and theatricality. Her first international engagement was 80 shows of her first production Caminos Flamencos at Disney World’s Epcot Center. Today, she tours with her two-time Latin GRAMMY®-nominated production, Bailaora: Mis pies son mi voz. Flamenco Reimagined!

Garrido’s visionary approach has led to major collaborations with institutions such as the Aspen Music Festival, Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival, Pittsburgh Opera, Cirque du Soleil, and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra. Highlights include her celebrated re-staging of Amor Brujo at the Hollywood Bowl, full ballet commissioned by the LAPhil and her company’s national exposure on NBC’s World of Dance. She has also collaborated with musical icons
including El Cigala and Alejandro Sanz.

Throughout her career, Garrido has remained committed to expanding flamenco’s expressive possibilities – merging tradition, contemporary aesthetics, and original musical collaboration to shape a new, multidimensional vision of the art form.
