Trueno has over 20 million monthly listeners on Spotify, his YouTube channel has 6.8 million subscribers, and has accrued over two billion views. His Instagram profile is equally impressive, having almost reached 9 million loyal followers.
Trueno recently released new single, the heavy hitting rap track “THE ROOF IS ON FIRE.” The song, which pays homage to hip hop culture, is out on Sony Music Latin, the label that Trueno recently signed to.
“THE ROOF IS ON FIRE” is a heavily hip hop and rap influenced track that showcases Trueno’s talent and his love for the genre. His meticulous and quick witted verses flow alongside classic 2000’s era hip hop influenced beats and sounds.
After ending an incredible 2023 with the release of “F*CK EL POLICE REMIX” with hip hop icons Cypress Hill and wrapping up his global tour with four sold out shows in his native Buenos Aires, Trueno kicked off 2024 with the release of his COLORS session. The recording of the track “No Cap” was a first glimpse at the artist’s forthcoming album. He recently joined reggaeton icon Nicky Jam for the release of “Cangrinaje” and just received five nominations for the 2024 Premios Gardel: Argentina’s biggest awards (he won 7 last year!).
Prior to that he continued to build his success with key milestones, including the release of his critically acclaimed album ‘BIEN O MAL,’ his NPR Tiny Desk Concert and he nabbed his first Latin GRAMMY® nomination for “Best Rap/ Hip Hop Song”. He was also featured on the FIFA 23 Soundtrack and swept the 2023 Premios Gardel, taking home the most awards of the night, including the coveted Gardel de Oro.
Trueno’s latest album, El Último Baile, which was released on May 23, 2024 was nominated for Best Urban Album at the 2024 Latin GRAMMY®.
